Stack with Ease, Scale with Flexibility: Risen Energy to Unveil RisenStack Stor

Company News
2026-10-14

Commercial and industrial (C&I) energy storage is transitioning from "fixed solutions" to "dynamic adaptation". Truly valuable energy storage is no longer a device with a pre-set capacity for long-term fixed operation, but a flexible system that matches capacity, configuration, and scenarios according to the evolving business needs of enterprises. Building on this approach, Risen Energy is set to launch the RisenStack Stor stackable C&I energy storage system as an extension of the RisenStack series. Featuring PV DC coupling capability and a capacity of up to 256 kWh, the system further strengthens Risen Energy’s modular, integrated PV and energy storage portfolio, spanning small and medium-sized to large C&I applications and addressing diverse energy needs across global markets, including Europe, Australia, Africa, Latin America, Central Asia, South Asia and Southeast Asia.

New Value Proposition: Scenario-Based Value Creation, Cost Control, and Optimized Returns

Configure on demand and invest in phases—ensuring that investment is aligned precisely with current needs. This is the new value proposition enabled by RisenStack Stor. The system supports two LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery modules: 7kWh (SH7KFH) and 8kWh (SH8KFH), covering the 30kW to 60kW hybrid inverter power range. A single system allows for the flexible combination of 1 to 32 battery packs, with up to 6 modules per column. It supports a maximum capacity of 256kWh, and up to 5 units connected in parallel. Enterprises can start with a single module and scale up gradually as their business grows, while allowing ample flexibility for future expansion.

Deep PV-storage integration helps every kilowatt-hour of green electricity deliver greater economic value. Utilizing a DC-coupled architecture, RisenStack Stor is equipped with 6 MPPTs and supports up to 200% PV-side oversizing, with a maximum DC input power of 120kW. PV power is directly coupled to the batteries on the DC side, eliminating the need for an additional PV inverter and reducing AC/DC conversion stages and cable losses. This results in a simpler system, fewer potential points of failure, and improved round-trip efficiency (RTE).

Faced with complex C&I loads, a stable power supply is an equal guarantee of profitability. The system supports 140% peak power output for up to 10 seconds and 100% three-phase unbalanced output. It supports multiple operating strategies, including dynamic pricing modes, peak shaving and valley filling, self-consumption, and battery-first modes, optimizing charging and discharging based on load and electricity price fluctuations. In the event of grid anomalies, it enables rapid switching between grid-connected and off-grid modes in<3ms and is compatible with diesel generator (DG) integration to provide continuous power to critical loads.

New Safety Proposition: Multi-Layered Protection Across the System

The safety defense line starts with every individual battery pack. Inside the pack, RisenStack Stor integrates high-temperature fire-resistant insulation pads, aerosol active fire suppression modules, aerogel thermal insulation pads, explosion relief valves, and temperature sensors. Together, these form a multi-layered defense covering thermal insulation, fire protection, pressure relief, and temperature control. Pack-level active balancing technology eliminates the need for on-site SOC calibration, while a lifespan of up to 10,000 cycles supports reliable operation throughout the energy storage system's lifecycle.

From the inside out, the system is designed to withstand demanding environments. Both the battery pack and inverter feature an IP66 protection rating, with a standard C3 anti-corrosion enclosure and C4/C5 available as options. On the electrical side, it integrates AFCI (Arc Fault Circuit Interrupter), anti-islanding protection, residual current protection, and anti-reverse flow control. Designed to withstand humid, coastal, and other demanding outdoor environments, the system provides multi-dimensional protection from the battery pack to the overall system across applications such as factories and industrial parks.

New O&M Proposition: Smart, Scenario-Based Management for Simplified O&M

Ultra-minimalist "slot-in" deployment enables flexible installation across a wide range of sites. The 0.28m ultra-thin wall-mounted design, paired with vertical stacking installation and lightweight individual battery packs weighing as little as 66kg, enables batch transportation and plug-and-play setup. High-performance coupling connectors between batteries enable parallel connection without additional wiring. Combined with pack-level active balancing that reduces on-site commissioning time, the system efficiently utilizes unconventional spaces such as corners and narrow aisles, flexibly adapting to space-constrained scenarios including factories, industrial parks, and commercial complexes.

O&M no longer requires frequent on-site visits, as the system can be managed remotely through the cloud. The system features built-in EMS and data acquisition capabilities, connecting directly to the Risen Cloud smart energy management platform. Through the cloud and mobile app, users can monitor equipment status in real time, achieve unified management across multiple sites and devices, and flexibly switch operating modes remotely, making energy management more intuitive and efficient.

From flexible expansion to PV-storage synergy, and from pack-level protection to smart O&M, the three core value pillars of economic value, safety, and O&M are deeply embedded in the product design of RisenStack Stor—enabling energy storage to scale flexibly with business growth and making energy management simpler than ever.
